Venus and Nostradamus Predictions for 2012

Adding more details to the already complicated astrological picture, planet Venus will pass in front of the Sun in 2012. She will be forming a complete eclipse as brought to our attention in the writings of Nostradamus.

Venus passing in front of the Sun is so full of symbolism.

Interesting that the Sun represents masculine energy, and Venus feminine. At one time, women were looked upon with reverence, but during the past several centuries not so much.

At the same time, the metaphysical environment has not been so good concerning women and the feminine element. The feminine element being inward and subjective represents mystery. With mystery comes the magical.

The sense of unseen, and intuitively felt reality has taken a beating along with so many other pitfalls for women in general. In time, the loss of magic has left a vacuous hole for all of mankind.

"The scientific age and modern passion for the deification of the mind has temporarily spoiled our belief in the irrational, the instinctual, the magical, and the inexplicable"1

The suppression of these feminine qualities takes away sparkling insight.

Ironically, it may be just that glimmer which men have typically looked for in women. Now obscured by the need to be rational, it becomes apparent how the natural polarity between the male and female element has gotten so upset.

The Nostradamus quatrain that describes this phenomenon goes like this:

The lover's heart is opened by furtive love

The woman ravished by floods of tears:

The lascivious will mimic

With moral indignation,

The father will twice do without the soul

Yes, these quatrains are obscure. But the haunting part is the last line.

Intuition has guided some people into believing what is true, although modern science may not have produced the proof yet. Knowledge, such as anti-matter, has been around for ions. Recently, it has been discovered in the middle of black holes, so therefore it exists.

Lately, there has been an abundance of reported sightings of UFO's; discovery of crop circles, sightings of ghosts, alien encounters, and a plethora of more events that have gone unexplained. There are too many to be explained away by a few rationalists.

Is that possibly what the last line of this Nostradamus quatrain is all about? We, as humanity, haven't done so well with the male essence of rationality leading the pack so far. This much is clear. This is the result of actions taken without involving the soul.

Are the "father" figures of the world going to make the same mistake twice? Ignoring what Nostradamus says about the soul, could be the second and last mistake for many.
