Verizon Android Phone: How to Send a Caller Straight to Voicemail

Have you ever had a harassing or annoying calls coming into your cell phone and you can't figure out how to put a stop to it. It is a bit easier than you think if you have a Verizon Android Smartphone. A couple of easy steps, you can have those annoying and harassing phone calls dump directly into voicemail so that you don't have to deal with the caller unless you choose to call him/her back later.

Here is how to send a caller straight to voicemail on your Verizon Android Smartphone:

Step 1: Go to the "phone" icon on your Verizon Android cell phone and touch it.

Step 2: Select the "contacts" icon at the top of the Verizon Android screen. This will open your contacts so that you will be able to select who you want to block from making harassing phone calls to your Android phone.

Step 3: Scroll down the list of contacts until you find the person that you want to stop from harassing you. Touch that person's name when you come to it. This will open up a screen with some of the contacts information.

Step 4: Touch the menu soft key (looks like lines on a piece of paper) on the bottom of the Verizon Android smartphone. This will bring up a menu at the bottom of the screen with different options.

Step 5: Choose the option "options". This will bring up two options for you.

Step 6: Choose the second option for "incoming calls". When you touch this option it will place a green check mark in the box next to it. This will send the caller straight to voicemail when they call.

Step 7: Go out of the screen by touching the "home" soft key". The home icon key looks like a house.

This may not solve all of your problems, but it does allow you to more easily track the harassing caller in such a way that he/she will be recorded each time he/she calls if he/she wants to leave you a message. It will also stop the person from ringing your phone. You will simply get a voicemail notification without all the rings when that person is trying to call. In other words, it helps you keep your sanity. This works for those people that you simply don't wish to talk to at a particular time or harassing and annoying callers. It can easily be changed back to the ability of the caller to reach you if you change your mind. Do the exact same steps and make sure that the green check mark is not showing when you change the setting.
