Verizon iPhone Release Date Could Cause Huge Impact on iPhone Sales
The Verizon iPhone Release Date Could Be Huge for Apple iPhone Sales in Coming Year
Rumors have the Verizon iPhone release date occurring some time in the summer of 2010, but with no official announcement from Verizon, and no real images of a Verizon iPhone to go off of, that seems a bit too early for any official release party. A safer bet would be that Verizon and Apple release information about the new Verizon iPhone during the summer, and that the official release date for the Verizon iPhone happens sometime in the fall. A new partnership between Apple and Verizon is definitely going to help both companies immensely, because it will open up the iPhone to a whole new branch of customers and because it will keep loyal Verizon customers who may have jumped over to AT&T just to be able to use the newest version of the iPhone.
One of the huge items that a Verizon iPhone could end up creating is a place for unsatisfied AT&T users to go. Rather than deal with the often frustrating, and at time nonexistent, customer service at AT&T, now cell phone users that have fallen in love with the iPhone won't be required to stay with AT&T anymore. This could be a really bad thing for AT&T, and they may need to change their business practices a bit in order to try and keep people from jumping ship. Verizon will definitely increase the advertising to show what they have to offer that is better than AT&T, and consumers should fully expect another battle of commercials where the cell phone companies take turns attacking each others services.
The new Verizon iPhone will probably be similar to what is on the market right now, but they will definitely have alterations making them more compatible with the Verizon system. We don't have an exact release date on hand for the new Verizon iPhone, most likely because Apple is still working on perfecting them. Expect the Verizon release date to be announced sometime in the coming months though, and for the excitement level to increase as the release date approaches.
