Shortly after Motorola announced that is latest line of Razr phones will be available to all major US wireless networks, the top three mobile network carriers has announced pricing and availability for the Razr 2 phones.

Motorola's Razr 2 phones includes the Razr 2 V8, Razr 2 V9, and Razr 2 V9m phones which all feature a sleek and slim clamshell design. The Razr 2 V8 is a Quadband GSM phone, the V9 is a 3G HSDPA phone, while the V9m is 3G EVDO CDMA compatible. All three phones features a touch sensitive music control located outside the phone's large, 2 inch external display that allows users to listen to their music or view SMS messages without flipping the phone open. The larger 2.2 inch internal display allows for better web surfing through the full HTML browser. Another new technology incorporated on the Razr 2 phones is Motorola's CrystalTalk technology that enhances voice quality during calls and stereo Bluetooth technology.

Stu Reed, Motorola's executive vice president and President of its Mobile Devices division said that the Motorola Razr 2 delivers the sharpest mobile experiences available and that customers of every major US carrier can now own one. Reed said that the Motorola Razr 2 is equipped with smart features such as blazing-fast 3G wireless broadband and a style that is slimmer and stronger than the original.

Verizon was already first to announce the availability and price of the Razr 2 V9m phone. In a recent press release, Verizon announced that the Razr 2 V9m will be available to Verizon Wireless customers in September and will cost $299.99 after a $50 mail-in rebate. Customers will have to be locked to the network for 2 years after availing of the phone.

According to Reuters, AT&T announced that they will also start selling the Razr 2 phone in September for $299 and customers will also have to sign a 2 year contract. Sprint on the other hand, according to Reuters, will sell the phones on September 4 but will start taking telephone orders on August 22 and will cost $249 with a 2 year contract.

According to Motorola, the MotoRazr 2 will also be available from other wireless carriers like Alltel, T-Mobile USA, and US Cellular though these companies will still have to announce prices and availability dates.

Motorola's original Razr has been the company's best selling phone and has helped increased Motorola's market share, selling over 100 million units since its introduction in 2004.
