Vermont Christian Singer, Mark Shelton, Performs at Barre, VT Auditorium

Janis I. Monroe
Arlington, VT - April 15, 2007 -Christian music has exploded over the past couple of decades and Vermont's own contemporary Christian singer, Mark Shelton, takes the stage at Barre, Vermont's, Barre Auditorium on Saturday, May 19th at 7PM.

Mark and his band will perform songs off his soon-to-be-released CD "Tribal Nation". His first CD "Radical" was released in 2002. Mark will deliver a powerful message through his songs of Christ's love for us and what He can do in our lives if we will only let Him.

The night will not only be filled with music and worship, but there will be drama, evangelism and mission. Accompanying the show will be a sensational light show, fog and lasers, interpretive flag and dance performances, theatrical effects, sword fights, and surprises for everyone.

With each performance, whether it is at auditoriums, churches, nursing homes, schools, daycare centers, beaches, fairs, or on cruise ships, Mark wants to show people that anything is possible in God's will and to encourage and edify others into going even further. Mark seeks to reach into the darkness bringing the light of Christ and prayerfully bringing others to know Christ, His love and peace, that they will experience possibilities and be free in the life God has given them.

Several of Mark's songs have become mainstays on Christian Radio Stations and Internet sites around the USA and Canada, including 154 Countries in Europe, Africa, and Asia. The proceeds have been donated to help victim's of the 2004-05 Tsunami. He was described in Christian Music's Relevant Magazine and Celebrate Radio's Internet & Satellite Ministry as "one of the strongest voices we've ever heard with powerful lyrics and dynamic performances", Mark Shelton is anything but your traditional gospel performer. The love of Jesus and the power of the Holy Spirit radiates during Shelton's presentations with messages of hope, repentance, forgiveness and standing up in the Spirit of God.

Mark lives in the Northeast Kingdom of Vermont and is the co-founder and Director of the International Ministry known as "Wings of Worship", or WOW. This mission of the ministry is proclaiming the gospel of Christ by using the arts as its primary medium. From WOW has stemmed two major gospel tours, a children's interactive theater called "Swimming Frog Theater", and an award winning Sock Hop performances that has Shelton and the "Team Wonderful" crew making concert stops all over the east coast.
