Veronica or Speedwell Poem

Sandy James
Veronica is commonly known as 'Speedwell';
Evergreen foliage in most species;
Rock gardens host this plant nicely;
Often blooms during late Spring;
Not a favorite among deer and rabbit;
Immensely blue in petite flowers;
Carefree plant in over 500 species;
A nice border plant it makes.

    I never had much luck with Veronica, although it is widely used here, especially in community gardens. rcj
