My mom always made the potato candy pinwhirls...one of my favorites; and, it was her mom's recipe. It stores well in the fridge for several weeks with waxed paper between the layers, in a closed container. The pinwhirls look really nice on the serving dish too, very colorful. No one can ever guess that this candy is made with mashed potatoes.
