Veterans Day happens every year in the month of November. Why is this holiday represented in the United States every year? For one, as most of us know, it is honorable to pay tribute to those who have fought for us, for our country and for themselves.
This year, Veterans Day will be on Friday November 11th, 2011.
The reason Veterans Day is "celebrated" on November 11th is because on November 11, 1918, fighting had ceased in World War I when a "temporary cessation of hostilities between the Allied Nations and Germany went into effect". (The actual end date for World War I was June 28th 1919 when the Treaty of Versailles was signed, however, November 11th marked the beginning to the end.)
Veterans day, as mentioned, is an important part of the past, present and future of our country. We honor our veterans and our active military, we show love for our country and its people and it shows our patriotism to serve our country and our countrymen.

Very nicely done. We always remember our vets on Veteran's Day as one or more of our family members has managed to serve in all of the wars. I am also thankful for those who bravely serve our country and risk their lives everyday to do so.
Nice reminder of the meaning of this special day!
