The first in this list of Veterans Day celebrations in DFW is the Veterans Day parade in downtown Dallas. It will be held on Nov. 11, 2010 beginning with massing of the colors and the 11th-hour ceremony in front of City Hall. The parade will follow the official ceremony. Downtown Fort Worth
The Tarrant County Veterans Council has scheduled its annual Veterans Day Parade in Fort Worth. It is scheduled for Thursday, Nov. 11, 2010 beginning and ending north of downtown at LaGrave Field, 301 NE 6th Street. Grand Prairie
The City of Grand Prairie will hold Veterans Day celebrations in DFW at 10 a.m. on Nov. 11, 2010 just behind the Grand Prairie Senior Center, which is at 925 Conover Drive. To find out more or to see how you can get involved, call (972) 237-8100.
Adkins
On Nov. 6, the Viet Nam Vets / Legacy Vets Motorcycle Club presents the 17th Annual Veterans Day Run at Texas Pride BBQ, 2980 Loop 1604. The event starts at 9 a.m. with a ride to the Vietnam Veteran Memorial in San Antonio starting at 10 a.m. A ceremony will be held at the Memorial at 11 a.m. Riders will return to Texas Pride following the ceremony for live music, food and raffle tickets. Plano
The Veterans Day celebrations in DFW continue with the City of Plano hosting a Veterans Day Salute on Nov. 11, 2010 at the Plano Senior Recreation Center, 401 W. 16th St., honoring all who served in the military. This event features the Plano West Senior High JROTC Color Guard, a Salute to Veterans essay presentation, the Dallas Tap Dazzlers, Kings of Swing, Plano Community Band and Senior Center Tap Dancers. This Veterans Day celebration is free, but you must register by 5 p.m. on Nov. 9. Call (972) 941-7155 or register online at the Plano Senior Center website. North Richland Hills
The City of North Richland Hills is hosting its annual Veterans Day Celebration on Nov. 11, 2010 at Liberty Park, 5825 Holiday Lane. Beginning at 11 a.m., the celebration will honor all of those who have served in our nation's military.
