Quail Corners Animal Hospital & Emergency Care Center

Quail Corners was the first veterinarian I took my dog to, and I am convinced the best vet in Raleigh. They have a twenty four hour line you can call with questions about your animals health, as well as a veterinarian at the hospital should you have any problems during the night. My dog got all of his original shots from this vet. I was a new pet owner when I got my dog, and they helped me through what I would need, and what to expect throughout my dogs first months and years of life. The staff was very helpful and seemed interested in helping me and my puppy.
Six Forks Animal Hospital

The SPCA in Raleigh offers vouchers for discounted spaying and neutering of dogs and cats. In order to sue the coupon you must go to one of their approved veterinarians, so I chose to take my dog to Six Forks. His neutering went off without any complications and he returned to me the next morning with his tail wagging ready to play. I had expected him to be somewhat apprehensive about returning to the vet after this procedure; however he has been a happy dog returning for addition shots and boosters since then, which leads me to believe his neutering was a reasonably positive experience.
The prices for other vaccinations are reasonable and the facilities are clean and well kept.
Oberlin Animal Hospital
1216 Oberlin Rd
Raleigh, NC 27608

Oberlin's Animal Hospital is located conveniently right outside of downtown. If you work downtown it can be easy to drop your pet off for a vet visit on your way to work, and pick them up at lunch or after work. It is easy to get to, and easy to get out of and back downtown or on the beltline.
Unfortunately, the location of veterinarian's office also has its drawbacks. Located is a particularly affluent area of Raleigh, the prices at this vets office tend to be considerably more expensive then its counterparts across town, for no real reason other than the vets location.
They offer clean facilities, and a pleasant and helpful staff, but so do many other vets that will offer you the exact same services for less money. I had several friend go to this vet choose to move their pets after looking at my vet bills as compared to their own.
Depending on your job, and your location the convenience of this vet may make up for the additional cost of taking your pet there.

Post a CommentWhile those hospitals are no doubt been around, I can say they are pricey. I have found a real gem in the rough of Raleigh and its name is Ansede Animal Hospital. They treat you as if your pet is the only one they have ever treated. They are a family run practice and you don't see a different doctor every time you walk in the door. They don't make you feel guilty if you can't afford every little procedure too. heck, how many of those animal hospitals work with spay neuter programs like $20 FIX, Friends of Animals, SPCA Vouchers? How many of them do community Rabies and microchip clinics?
Based on what I have written so far, you would think this clinic is a hole in the wall for low income owners, but they have a board certified surgeon and radiologist available and a professional groomer. I am sure the high powered, corporate run, big hospitals are great, but you would be amazed what a little research can bring. Try them out!
