As this fall season
Slowly begins to peak
Birds are flying South
On the mission that they seek!
In a perfect V-formation
We see them as they fly
Never missing a beat
They appear in the daytime sky!
How they choose a leader
I'd really like to know
Their true respect for leadership
And trusting where they'll go!
But my natural curiosity
Brings a question to my mind
Unless you are the first bird
Get used to your friend's behind!

Well done.
This is truly one of the great ones!
This reminds me of the picture of the flock of ducks, walking in all directions on the beach, with the caption "Lead, follow, or get the H--- out of the way". Nice job, Diane.
:)
Humans can learn a lot from all sorts of wildlife.
Very nice, thank you nana:0)
How precious this is...and the ending (no pun intended...well, maybe it was) is so good. I think that we can be cheerleaders for those in the lead. PS, love your Newspaper reports daily. Good stuff. Very green. No recycling necessary. LOL
