ViaTalk - Not All Voip Services Are Created Equal

VOIP service is much more reasonable when it comes to bill charges and features. Regular landline service will need to make some drastic changes if it wants to reach the level of VOIP service. Although it is more reliable when it comes to power outages or storms, I would still choose VOIP over landline service. You get to enjoy tons of useful features that would normally cost a small fortune with a regular phone. Since I took the plunge and got rid of my old phone company, I have had many stress free days and I can talk to love ones longer. Previously, the long distance charges caused me to cut many conversations short and sweet. VOIP companies are popping up all over the place. Some of them are winners and others should have never considered getting into the business.

ViaTalk is one of the newest VOIP services that has arrived on the scene. They advertised a remarkable deal that allows subscribers to pay under $200 for an entire year of unlimited calling. Not only do you get this excellent price but you still get an extensive assortment of features to go along with it. When I first saw this, I had to rub my eyes multiple times to make sure it was real and legitimate.

One of the best features that ViaTalk offers is the capability to record a call by dialing *99. You are able to access the recording through your voicemail or their internet based control panel. There is also a sort of reminder service that will keep you organized by calling your phone to inform you of appointments. You will be able to get voicemail notifications through text messaging, email or even RSS. Being able to use an RSS feed as a notification tool for new voice messages is one of the coolest features I have ever seen.

Overall, ViaTalk has a large selection of great tools for service and the price is a steal, but my caution bells started to go off. The first sign of trouble started with the order processing. It took a little over a week before my equipment finally arrived. I am a patient person, but I was originally under the impression that it would have arrived within two to three business days. After a week or two of service I started to notice that the call quality was clear but it seemed as though others had a little trouble hearing me at times. There were also occasions when I experienced a ten second delay after dialing phone numbers. Although these are not horrendous problems, it does kind of make me wonder if I should have waited until the company was more established.
