Addiction is very hard to overcome. There are many different kinds of addictions that we have. Of course there are different degrees of addictions and some are more serious than others. For example, a drug addiction is more serious than a caffeine addiction. A drug addiction can tear a relationship apart and can not only hurt the person with the addiction, but also the person's family. Alcohol dependency is the most common addiction in the world. Addictions like alcohol and drug addictions can also lead to medical consequences. For example, addictions like this can also be considered diseases. This is why they are so hard to overcome.
In addition to addiction, Dishonesty is a vice we suffer from daily. Some lies we tell may me good lies that may make people feel better and make use seem nicer than we really are. However, most of the time lying is a really bad thing to do. Dishonesty can also really damage relationships. For example, romantic relationship sometimes can end in a breakup due to dishonesty like cheating or lying about money. Lying can sometimes people lie once and have to lie again to cover that lie and lie once more to cover the lie again like the snowball effect. For example, sometimes lying can get so addictive that we sometimes lie so much that we start to believe ourselves. That is not a point in lying we want to get to when we start to believe our lies.
The last vice is negativity. This is a vice we suffer from when things are going bad for us which causes us to have no confidence. As humans, we put ourselves down so much and think negative so much. We need to start thinking more positive. For example, if we start to think more positive and start to visualize positive things then they will happen. Negative thinking can hinder any situation. For example if a person goes into a relationship with negative thoughts, his or her attitude and actions most likely will come out negative. The opposite will happen if the same person thought positively.
We all suffer from vices. They may vary in degree of seriousness but they show we are human and we make mistakes in relationships. We all at some time or another suffer from the three vices in this essay called addiction, dishonesty, and negativity. W however must try to not let these affect our relationships.
