Victoria Beckham on Blackwell's Worst Dressed Celebrity List for 2007

Another year, another worst-dressed list for Mr. Blackwell. Among the unfortunate celebrities to make the cut this year are Amy Winehouse, Avril Lavigne and Lindsey Lohan. And, according to Mr. Blackwell, 2007's best dressed woman? Reese Witherspoon.

To those who are unfamiliar with Blackwell's worst dressed list, the past fashion designer has been considered as a fashion guru for decades now, and now reveals his worst-dressed list for women every January, something that is well-publicized, and has been going on for forty-eight years.

Now, anyone expecting to see Britney Spears on this year's list (she's been a regular for several years, now), you'll be sorely disappointed.
"For those of you who were expecting to see Britney's name adorn the 2007 list, I felt that it was inappropriate at this time to make comment, when her personal life is in such upheaval...I hope 2008 is a better year for her."
And, finally, we get to the list;

Coming in at number ten, we have Alison Arngrim, best known for her role as Nellie Oleson in 'The Little House On The Prairie', Arngrim can now be found making audiences laugh all around America, with her one woman show, 'Confessions Of A Prairie Bitch'.

Next up, and one that surprised many at the press conference, Lindsay Lohan; according to Blackwell, 'Lohan takes fashion to a new low.' - however, what with her recent spells in rehab, this was a rather controversial pick for Blackwell, also shocking, considering Paris Hilton managed to escape from Blackwell's wrath, this year.

In eighth place, Jessica Simpson; while once hailed as a 'style icon', in her 'Newlyweds' days, there's no doubt that Jessica's style has gone down the pan, of recent. Ever since turning up as Jessica Rabbit (unintentionally) at The Costume Institute Gala, she's lost most of her credibility.

In a close seventh, Avril Lavigne; her style seems to change as regularly as her hair-color, but nowadays, Miss Lavigne rarely gets it right. Blackwell said 'Gothic make-up courtesy the mad spatula - Fashions provided by...The house of Dracula!'; her sometimes loud fashion statements are obviously not favored by Blackwell.

In sixth place, the rather shocking decision of Eva Green; a former Bond girl, we rarely see Eva in anything but amazing designer creations, and yet Blackwell makes a reference to 'neon nightmares, not meant for the sane', something I've yet to comprehend. Already, hundreds of people have been arguing their disagreement, online; perhaps Blackwell's seen something none of us have. Perhaps he's losing it, altogether.

Halfway through, and fifth position takes us to American Idol winner, Kelly Clarkson; while her photo shoots and album covers show Clarkson in the height of fashion (well, most of the time), it's common knowledge that Kelly's personal fashion choices are not that of haute couture. Still, with a voice like that, does it really matter what she wears?

At number four, Fergie from the Black Eyed Peas; while she manages to pull off most of her unusual outfits, there's no doubt that she does seem to get slightly off-mark, on occasion; seems that Blackwell's got it in for singers, this year!

Number three? Mary-Kate Olsen. Were any of us really surprised, by this? Blackwell had this to say, on the worst-dressed half of the famous twins, who own their own fashion line: 'YIKES! In layers of cut-rate kitsch, Mary Kate's look is hard to explain ... she resembles a tattered toothpick-trapped in a hurricane!'

At number two, Amy Winehouse; Blackwell seems to have a strange fixation for her hair, which while not being the smartest idea, this year, doesn't entirely constitute as her fashion sense, another thing pointed out by many of Blackwell's critics; while her 'beehive' seems to become bigger, as time goes on, her clothes don't seem to pose much offense, making Blackwell's choices even more questionable.

And, finally, at number one, half of arguably the most famous couple in showbiz, Mrs Victoria Beckham; something she's not going to be too pleased about, with rumors that she spends millions of dollars on clothes a year (something which isn't too hard to believe); while most of us have, at some point in our lives, cringed at one of Mrs Beckham's ensembles, there's no doubt that she is capable of making some sane choices.

So, with some questionable choices for this year's list, and many critics of Blackwell are wondering how much longer the fashion 'guru' will keep up this tradition.
