Victoria Beckham Collection Nominated for Designer Brand of the Year Award : British Fashion Awards
Mulberry, Burberry and Pringle Are Up Against the Beckham Label for Award
This is a surprising nomination, especially since the Burberry label has been in existence since 1856, and Pringle since 1951. The Beckham label on the other hand is only two years old.
The British Fashion Award nominees were announced at a reception on the Roof Terrace at Soho House in London on Wednesday 1st September, and the winners will be announced on 7th December.
Nominees were chosen by a committee which is chaired by Lucy Yeomans (editor of Harper's Bazaar) and includes Alexandra Shulman (editor of Vogue) and Sarah Mower (international journalist for Vogue US and Style.com).

The chairman of the British Fashion Council, Harold Tillman said that "This year's nominees are a reflection of the incredible vision and breadth of talent British designers offer".
He continued "From the truly unique and inspiring collections by the designers nominated in the Emerging Talent categories to the remarkable impact designer brands Burberry, Mulberry, Pringle of Scotland and Victoria Beckham continue to make on the industry, the creativity of our designers drives forward the British fashion industry and we're very proud to be celebrating this ".
