Lace is a great item to decorate with for a Victorian Christmas. I use lace to decorate with every Christmas. You can put lace on your Christmas tree like you would garland. Just get some long lace that is white or a cream or ivory color and string it on the branches of your Christmas tree to make your Christmas tree look Victorian.
You can use lace bows to decorate for Christmas. Use some white, ivory or cream lace and cut it into foot long pieces. Then tie them into bows and place the lace bows where ever you would like a lace bow like in the branches of your Christmas tree or on your fireplace mantel. You can put them on the corners of doorways or windows. You can tie the lace into a bow directly on the branches of your Christmas tree or anywhere else you like to tie a nice lace bow.
Lace can also be used to decorate hand railings. Just twist the lace around the hand rails or the banisters for a lacy Victorian look that makes your railings look like a Victorian Christmas.
Victorian Christmas ornaments can be purchased just about anywhere that you can get Christmas decorations. You can find Victorian Christmas ornaments at places like Menards or Walmart. Victorian Christmas ornaments can be glass fruits or flowers and of coarse lace. You can find a many Christmas tree decorations that are Victorian era to decorate your Christmas tree with.
You can also use real fruits to decorate your Christmas tree like a Victorian era Christmas tree. Place fruits on the branches of your Christmas tree for a real Victorian Christmas tree. Small fruits work better on small trees since they have branches that are not strong. You can use cherries, grapes, apricots and kiwis for smaller fruits. For larger Victorian Christmas trees you can put in some apples, bananas or pears. Then when you are done celebrating Christmas you can eat the fruit you put in your Victorian Christmas tree as part of your Christmas celebration.
You can also use nuts that are in their shell to decorate for a Victorian Christmas. Place some walnuts, pecans and almonds in a bowl for a Victorian table decoration. You can eat the nuts for snacks too.
