(Video) Amanda Bynes Retires from Acting at 24

Amanda Bynes has announced that she's retiring from acting at the age of 24. . Here's what she wrote on her Twitter page: "Being an actress isn't as fun as it may seem. If I don't love something anymore, I stop doing it. I don't love acting anymore, so I've stopped doing it." When you consider how desperate so many people are to be successful in Hollywood, this is interesting news indeed. I wonder if she'll change her mind? She displays her acting chops below.

Aww. She was one of my fave actresses! And What I Like ABout You was one of my favorite shows I watched for years, and loved her in She's The Man and What A Girl Wants. Maybe she'll come back in some years....but she's been acting since she was a kid! Everyone needs to try different career choices in life... I hope she finds something that she loves. :-)

Maybe Playboy at 30 for her comeback?

Oops. Make that ... shows an incredible amount of promise.

Well, I sure HOPE she changes her mind. Amanda Bynes is one of my favorite young actresses & show in incredible amount of promise. Check her out in "She's the Man," one of the best Shakespeare adaptations for kids I've seen. Maybe the work she's been offered lately just got too stupid. Take a break Amanda, think about it & maybe something that aims a little higher will bring you back. If not, I hope she finds something more satisfying. It'll be our loss.
