Video: Dem Rep. Rush Holt Rips Mic from Hands of Woman Constituent at Town Hall; Denies Her Right to Speak!

Marc Schenker
Democrat Representative Rush Holt from New Jersey's 12th Congressional District ripped a microphone from the hands of a woman constituent at a town hall meeting a few days ago, denying her right to speak further. The town hall in question occurred this past Monday in a Marlboro, New Jersey, middle school. When constituent Rhoda Chodosh got up to ask her question concerning healthcare and also voice opposition to the kind of socialized healthcare that Obamacare is all about, what did she get for her right to be involved in her local community? Bully Democrat Representative Rush Holt ripped the microphone right out of her hands and denied her the right to continue telling her congressman exactly how she felt about his performance!

At a town hall meeting ostensibly designed to be about the economy, healthcare, education and national security, Rush Holt decided to be a cowardly, Democrat bully by picking on a woman and ripping the microphone from her hands despite the fact that she had a right to speak her mind just like everyone else. In Holt's defense, the pressure of the town hall meeting likely got to him as it quickly erupted-like so many town halls last year, which featured constituents widely angry at their Democrat "representation"-into a room full of angry constituents shouting at their Democrat congressman. And if the mistreatment of one Rhoda Chodosh is any indication, one can see why such an eruption from the crowd was justifiable. In fact, at one point, the bully, Holt, even threatened to move to another room and flee, showing exactly what these Democrats are made of when confronted by constituents who have more than a right to do so: spineless cowardice.

What makes Rhoda's mistreatment all the more galling is the fact that she's actually Canadian-born, but now living in the States. Hence, she has an enviably important view of how dreadful Canadian...ahem..."healthcare" really is, having survived it, if you will. So she was extra passionate in getting up there to express her dissatisfaction with the Obamacare bill, fearing another Canadian-style nightmare.

At this point, some background on the bully Democrat, Holt, is in order, so readers can get just the precise sense of where such an arrogant, elitist, constituent-hating Democrat comes from, at least in his frame of mind. According to blogger "Chris" from the Right in Jersey blog and who himself attended the tumultuous town hall this past Monday, Rush Holt is an extremist, liberal Democrat...no surprise there with just his misbehavior concerning Rhoda Chodosh.

At all his previous town halls, Rush Holt was so anti-dialogue-you know, dialogue actually being the whole point of a town hall!-that he'd force people to carefully and gently write their little questions on harmless, non-threatening pieces of non-confrontational paper and then he'd only pick the ones he'd like! I swear I wish I was telling a joke here, but I'm not. The whole point of his tactic is to suppress dialogue and cowardly hide from the feedback of his constituents; in other words, he's a typical Democrat who merely perpetrates what the other Dems did all last year when the heat got too much for them due to the unpopularity of Obamacare!

A further background check of Holt reveals that, surprisingly for such boorish and ill-mannered misbehavior, he's actually a PhD holder! Again, not kidding here! That just confirms that having a good education cannot ensure good manners, no matter how high the degree is. Revisiting the fact of his extremist liberal ideology further that I briefly touched on, Holt has been ranked by the progressive Drum Major Institute (institute existing to provide "ideas that fuel the progressive movement") as rating 100% perfectly in line with their progressive ideals for their 2005 and 2007 Congressional Scorecards. So Holt is utterly an extreme liberal, and it's no surprise by now that the liberals in the Democrat Party are the ones committing all these breaches of basic etiquette with regards to free speech, manners and constituents' rights.

On a final note, the targeting of a woman (you'll see on the video how Holt is a good deal taller than Rhonda) is absolute cowardice by Holt, and the crowd at the town hall felt this way, too, when they erupted in shouts of rebuke against the congressman for his denial of the microphone to Rhonda.

I really have only one thing against Rush. But it's a big enough item for him to permanently lose my vote.

I had taken the time to write a very comprehensive note about my viewpoints on specific issues. And if possible I requested a brief meeting. Initially, I got a form letter thanking me for my submission that looks like it was auto-generated from email program.

Not a huge surprise, so I tried again and again. I asked for my point of view to be looked at roughly 10 different times. No acknowledgement, no response.

Here's what I think. Rush is clearly too have a staff member read my point of view communicate it to him and respond. Therefore, he's too busy to properly represent me and should be removed of that opportunity.

    Plain and simple!

The government for the people, so long as they take all the crap these reps can dish out!

Mr. Holt was in the right here. Sue me if I'm being P.C., but that lady was interrupting the meeting.

This is what they do in New Jersey. Politicians really don't want to hear from the people; they just want their votes and collect exhorbitant real estate tax.

"The People's Representatives" keep forgetting that they are, eh?
