Video Game Cheat for Playstation 2: True Crime: Streets of LA

True Crime: Streets of LA for Playstation 2 fits into the mold created by the Grand Theft Auto series. The game is based on crimes being committed in urban areas and the violence connected with those crimes or "reversing" those crimes. In True Crime: Streets of LA, the player is Nick Kang. Nick's mission is to solve the murder of his father, among other crimes. While the game has been criticized for gameplay and a lack of a consistent storyline, it has been noted for an impressive soundtrack featuring some top rappers. Voiceovers by Christopher Walken and Snoop Dogg are other highpoints of the game.

The following are video game cheats that can be used for the game True Crime: Streets of LA on the Playstation 2 platform. Although I have not personally tested all of the video game cheats listed below, I have been told that they all work on True Crime: Streets of LA for PS2.

The game must be paused to do the following group of cheats:

Get all gun skills: RIGHT, LEFT, RIGHT, LEFT, X

Get all melee combat skills: UP, DOWN, UP, DOWN, X
Get all driving skills: LEFT, RIGHT, LEFT, RIGHT, X
Get all moves, cars, and weapons: UP, RIGHT, DOWN, LEFT, UP, X
Display Nick's position: X, CIRCLE, SQUARE, TRIANGLE
Increase car size: DOWN, DOWN, DOWN, X

You can change the way Nick looks with the following codes:

Use the following codes as the name of your game file for these to work. Hold L1 and R1 down while you enter and confirm the name. If you successfully enter the code, Nick will look like the following when playing the game.

Play as Snoop Dogg:

On the map screen, press R1, L1, UP, RIGHT, LEFT, DOWN, L3, R3, X, SQUARE, CIRCLE, TRIANGLE. Then, save your game. Finally, go to the Mission Select Screen and pick a mission that shows Snoop Dogg.
