I don't really like racing games that much, but this one ROCKS! I have only played a couple of racing games over the years and the only ones it seems I like are the non-traditional racing games. I don't like the games that you have to go a certain way all the time and there's nothing extra to it.

With 4x4 Evo 2 you can customize your off road vehicle and compete in races that are really run across the world. The customization options are some of the best that I've seen in a racing game giving you the ability to totally "race out" your vehicle with a number of fantastic part combinations.

There are several standard tracks that are run on pavement and then there are tracks that are muddy and rainy and dry and windy. The weather aspects of the game greatly affect the way your vehicle performs, such as too much mud and the wrong tires means you will be skidding out of control when you hit that tight turn and it works the same if you are on a dry course. It really boils down to your tires and you get to pick your customizations before each race, so if you pick some tires or other parts that doesn't work for those courses you can always restart the race and choose a different configuration.

With all the "car" racing games out there it is nice to see an excellent racing game being made that using trucks and other off road vehicles to broaden the gaming experience. You can customize your own character and you can play against your friends and family members through the local multiplayer, which only allows 4 people to race at a time, but you can enjoy many hours of racing with your friends and family and you won't be disappointed and I haven't found a reason to stop playing this game. I have passed up all other racing games and I don't think that I will be playing anymore racing games unless they are like this one, with new tracks and new ideas instead of the same old racing in the streets of cities most people will never travel to.

This game offered me hours of enjoyable gameplay with the many levels and some of the hardest courses that I have ever raced on. I would recommend 4x4 Evo 2 to anyone out there who is looking for a fun and different type of racing game!
