Beyond Good and Evil

After Playing this game, one can come to appreciate the Game Cube for the broad horizon of addicting games that have spawned off its existence. I most graciously reward this game an 8.8 out of 10. It is a sleeper that will grow on you as you play and learn its insides. Here are my 10 reasons why.

For originality I must give this game a 9. It carries the style unique to gaming; however, it is very similar to Zelda but far more advanced. In my opinion, there are very few games like it.

As for the storyline, I must give this game an 8, for I was very impressed because it was an original storyline that proved to have great progression. I love this game because I wanted to know what was next with its various twists and surprises as you uncover and report the secrets of the government Alpha Section's Army. Of course, Max Payne had a more addicting storyline.

The third thing I look at a game for is playability. The system is a little used in all the Zeldas. However, it is very addicting, and some of it copies off of Zelda Wind Waker, which has been around for almost the same amount of time. However, the game play is still user friendly and easy to understand while becoming addicting. I give it an 8.

Then of course there is the question of graphics. For a Game Cube game I must give it a 9. They are very well done, however I suggest if you have Game Cube, the XBOX, and PS II, I would buy this game for the Game Cube or XBOX.

The fifth thing I would look at is the ending. I haven't beaten the game yet, so I must give it by default a 10. I can't judge something I haven't seen.

The next item would have to be extras. I must give it a 10 for extras. The saving system in the game works. The Camera was also a great Idea. I like how they set it up t take pictures of anything. Taking pictures for money is a nice side mission that becomes fun, and challenging among the bosses. The races are also fun to do. As for the other mini games they are over done, however the games are original and I like it.

As for innovation, this game features some new things. It tries and you can give it an A for effort, I give it a 10 for all of its effort to make it innovative. The game play is sure to win your heart, and it is fun for all ages.

How does the game work? Storyline progression is pretty smooth, it flows. I haven't seen any real glitches. But the other characters get annoying; they should have tried something different with the characters. I mean it really gets annoying when the character gets in your way every time you try to do something. Still it does work. As for the keys, that gets very annoying, while the code breakers do not make any sense. For example: why wait until you have more proof about a corporation? If you have already broken a large number of codes and you know that the group is evil, then there should be nothing, but time barring you from retrieving an access code. I'll give them a 9.

Then, of course, there is system compatibility. You may ask what does that mean. Well I am going to tell you. Sometimes, you may have a game not meant for a system. I.e. PS II port overs are not always improved for play on the XBOX. For example, Max Payne was alright for the PS II, but there was so much they could have done for it when it ported over to the XBOX, and they didn't. Anyway, this game is a good game for the Game Cube. I would recommend it while also giving it a 10. This game was born for the Game Cube.

Finally, there is a question of replay ability. I am sorry but like others once I beat this game it will go on the shelf with the rest of my gaming Collection. I might play months later down the road, but no time near after it is beaten. I give it a 6 for replay ability.
