Opening level I was simply wowed by the graphics and amazed by how immersive the game actually was. After 15 years of gaming I am able to tell within the first few minutes if a game is a 9/10 and this was it. I haven't even touched upon the multiplayer yet. That part of the game has the legs to last months until the next great game comes out.
The single player aspect of the game will last a typical gamer 8 hours. But the real treat is in the multiplayer where you can spend 50 hours at least trying to unlock new weapons and attachments. It's a lot of fun. If you are a multiplayer gamer its a blast and trust me, you will not get sick of the title for weeks.
Parents, this is a game you can get your 13 year old but I wouldn't recommend a younger age than that. There is blood in the game but not gore. I have noticed in the single player campaign that there is significantly more blood then there is in multiplayer so that take as you wish.
The game is virtually identical across all systems graphics and sound wise. Controls will be different on consoles compared to PC but you don't need a mid to high-end machine to play this game on consoles. If you are a PC gamer, grab it. If you have both a console and a PC then whichever control scheme you like more, whether it keyboard-mouse or gamepad, then let that be the deciding factor.
First person shooters have been done over and over and over again so it really took a lot for me to say "wow". This game was it. Even if you are sick of first person shooters you are doing yourself injustice by not giving this game at least a rent.
9/10

Post a CommentYou're a looser; Mark. I'm 13 and I can play call of duty 4.
i'm sorry, but i some problems with your review. you say you haven't played multiplayer, but then you go on and say it's great. you can't review a game until you have played it long enough and tried out everything in the game. not even just trying it...you gotta play for a good deal of time to really get a good opinion. and the multiplayer of COD4 is the reason why 99% of the people bought the game. the single player only lasts abour 6 hours, and you hardly even touched on the story. IMO, there is no way a 13 year old should be allowed this game.
COD4 deserves higher than a 9/10.
