"Thor"
The superhero movie is releasing on May 6. "Thor: God of Thunder" releases around the same time and will be available for the Xbox 360, PS3, Wii, PSP, and DS. Instead of the game being the same on all consoles, there are differences between them. The 360 and PS3 version will focus on taking down multiple enemies at once and battling huge bosses. The Wii will let the player use the motion control to perform movements like throwing Thor's hammer. It will also have comic book graphics. PSP's version is similar, but without motion control. The DS one will feature a completely unique storyline.
"Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part 2"
The final movie of the series will be released on July 15, along with the video game. The game will be available for all consoles. For the systems with motion control capabilities, like the Wii and Xbox 360's Kinect, players will be able to feel like they are really part of Harry's journey. It should be an action packed experience, with Harry and his friends facing Voldemort for the last time.
Another superhero movie is DC's "Green Lantern." Both movie and game release this June. The video game is titled "Green Lantern: Rise of the Manhunters." It will be available for the Xbox 360, PS3, Wii, and DS. The game is suppose to let players experience events that aren't in the movie or comic book. "Rise of the Manhunters" will feature a two player mode. As the Green Lantern, players will be able to fly across the universe, use the power ring, and fight the Manhunters.
"Captain America: The First Avenger"
Both the "Captain America" movie and video game will be released in July. The game, "Captain America: Super Soldier," will be available for the Xbox 360, PS3, Wii, DS, and PSP. It features a unique storyline that is different from the movie. The setting will be World War II, with Captain America fighting Red Skull. It will be an action game with lots of acrobatic moves, puzzles, and fast combat. Captain America's famous shield plays a big role in the action with many moves and fighting combos available.
"Rango"
The animated movie and its video game release this March. The game will be available on the Xbox 360, PS3, Wii, and DS. Instead of rehashing the same events as in the movie, the game will focus on Rango's imaginative stories. On one level, players will fight zombie rats. On another Rango will need to jump from platform to platform and dodge dangers. The game seems to have a good variety of different settings and action. Rango could be a fantastic video game, especially for children.
