The months of April, May, and June are full of many highly anticipated video games for 2011. From crime solving to action titles, gamers will have plenty of variety to pick from this Spring. Here are some of the most promising games coming out in the next few months.

SOCOM 4: U.S. Navy SEALs (PS3)
This third person, tactical shooter drops players in South East Asia. As part of an elite team, you must stop revolutionaries from controlling a nearby country. There are a variety of environments including jungles, cities, and ruins. The multiplayer includes four modes like the deathmatch style Suppression and a capture flag called Uplink. There are 10 maps featuring a freeway, a military base and a jungle. SOCOM 4 is compatible with the PlayStation Move. It's rated M and will be released on April 19.

Duke Nukem Forever
(Xbox 360, PS3)
Duke Nukem Forever was originally announced in 1997. On May 3, 2011, the M rated game is finally being released. The FPS promises to have the same features that gained the series popularity, like its over-the-top humor and weapons. Aliens has once again taken over Earth and Duke needs to stop them. The game is said to have the same mechanics and feel as it would have back in 1997. Whether this will work in 2011 remains to be seen, but at least it's finally being released.

Alice Madness Returns (PC, Xbox 360, PS3)
It's been 10 years since the first Alice game was released. In the original, Alice's family dies in a fire, leaving the distraught girl in a mental asylum where she finds the rabbit hole to Wonderland. The new game takes place after she's released from the asylum. She finds her way to Wonderland again and must save it. There will be new weapons like a teapot and pepper grinder. Alice will also unlock the ability to shrink and grow. While you may think of children when Alice in Wonderland is mentioned, this action game is not for kids. It will probably be rated M when it releases on June 1.

L.A. Noire (Xbox 360, PS3)
Rockstar's dark crime solving game releases on May 17. Players are Cole Phelps, a Los Angeles detective in the post World War II era. Besides the video game standards of car chases and shooting, there will be clues to find and evidence to gather as you solve a series of murders. A new type of interrogation mode will let players read a character's facial cues. L.A. Noire promises to be different from other Rockstar titles, but the sense of immersion their other games bring is sure present. The rating is pending, will most likely be M.

Red Faction: Armageddon (PC, Xbox 360,PS3)
Taking place 50 years after Red Faction: Guerrilla, the sequel finds Mars under attack once again. The surface of the planet can't be inhabited anymore, forcing colonists underground. Players are Darius Mason, the grandson of the main characters from Guerrilla. The game is said to be more linear then the previous one, but will still feature fully destructible environments. There's also new weapons that can be constructed by finding artifacts. For multiplayer, up to four people can face waves of enemies. It will released on May 31 and is rated M.

There are plenty of other great games coming out in Spring 2011. Games like Portal 2, F.E.A.R. 3, and Conduit 2 were delayed and are now releasing in the next few months. Unless there are more delays, this Spring will be a busy time for gamers.
