Lions's Mane Jellyfish Rarely Seen so Far South
Approximately 150 beachgoers were stung by a giant jellyfish at Wallis Sands State Park in Rye, New Hampshire on Wednesday. The victims included nine children (who were all treated and are doing well). Officials have identified the creature as a Lion's Mane jellyfish, a species rarely seen so far south.
