I don't want to say that others out and out lied in their stories. But, I have a feeling that at least some story tellers were influenced by what the general perception of a ghost is expected to be. Futhermore, I now suspect that most likely many other people had seen ghosts, but just didn't know what they were looking at. In fact, I myself had no idea that I was talking to a woman that had been dead for three years, till my girlfriend confirmed my description of her.
Sometimes our perceptions of how things should be, are just plain wrong. I can remember spilling a juice at a major juice chain, and someone that seemed to be dressed in rags insisted on buying me another juice.
When I said "thank you, but that's okay."
He replied "I own this chain of juice stores."
So, you really can't judge a book by it's cover. And all I can tell you is that the story may not make any sense, as far as ghost stories go. But, this did really happen. This is the link to my Youtube video called "A True Ghost Story." http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wks5sk0V778
