Bat Emergence at Old Tunnel Near Luckenbach, Texas

Approximately 3 million bats exit the Old Tunnel cave near Luckenbach, Texas each night to feed. The tunnel is an abandoned train tunnel. Several years after the train tracks were torn up, the bats took resident. This cave is not a maternity cave which means mother bats do not use the cave for their babies.
