Beat The Blue
An Award-winning Film
"Beat the Blue", was the recipient of The Global Vision Award at the World Population Film and Video Festival. In 2003, Mr. Fucile was arrested and jailed in New York City for selling DVDs of his work. After a lengthy criminal and civil trial Fucile eventually won the criminal case and the city of New York settled his civil claim. The case was highly publicized as a precedent setting freedom of speech-digital distribution question.
John has lectured on Media Theory, Culture and Society and Digital Editing at Brooklyn College, New York
University, The Metropolitian College of New York and the Massachusettes Institute of Technology.
Mr. Fucile has lived and worked in Montreal, Ottawa, Toronto, Los Angeles, New York and New Jersey and is currently employed as a director for
Metro 3 Television in Nashville, Tennessee.
