Cape Perpetua Storm Clouds Video
Forbidding storm clouds roll into Cape Perpetua on the Oregon Coast
Cape Perpetua, on the central Oregon coast, is a lush cove perched high above the Pacific Ocean. I was visiting Cape Perpetua on a winter afternoon and I noticed a storm on the horizon. Dark, foreboding storm clouds were gathering in the distance. As the clouds and rain approached, I set up my camera and filmed as much of the area as I could. I was so excited! I always get a thrill when I am lucky enough to experience Mother Nature during a special moment. As the storm clouds approached several other park visitors came through the little stone hut where I was filming. Much to my surprise none of them were excited by the view - in fact they were all disappointed that the weather was not bright and sunny! All of them left quickly to return to the safety of their cars. I was left alone to meditate on the wonders of Nature and the ever-changing forms of the storm clouds. The song is a Creative Commons licensed track by Gudonark called Bowen Hill.
