Clowns and Mini Classic Cars Entertain the Crowd During the St. Patrick's Day Parade
Shriners Clown Driving a Micro Motorcycle Nearly Falls Off While Attempting a Photo Op Session in San Antonio
Holidays are a major festival event in Texas, and the 2010 St. Patrick's Day parade in San Antonio is no exception. From traditional Mexican dancers to local charitable organizations, all had their place in the parade, which wound its way through downtown San Antonio, passing in front of the Alamo. Also included in the 2010 St. Patrick's Day parade were the Shriners clowns, mini car drivers, motorcyclists, and color guard. One Shriners clown on a micro motorcycle entertained the crowd as he tried to squeeze his full-grown body on a bike made for a monkey. Traveling at a rip-roaring 2 1/2 miles per hour, the micro motorcycle had trouble staying upright! Thankfully, the Shriners mini classic cars troupe was close behind in case of an accident. A young woman from the crowd asks for a picture on the back of the clown's bike, but there was only one problem... there was no back for her to sit upon! Of course, a parade just isn't a parade without the Shriners!
