General Electric (GE) has agreed to buy out Vivendis 20 percent stake in NBC Universal for $5.8 billion, according to media reports late Monday. The deal clears the way for GE to sell a 51 percent stake in NBC to Comcast (CMSCA), for as much as $30 billion.
