How to Hem Pants: A Step-by-Step Guide
A Video Tutorial on Hemming Pants
Hi, I'm Danny, and today we're going to hem pant legs. We'll begin by introducing some of the tools we are going to be using. I like to use a bar of soapstone, it's great for lining out the hem. For the purpose of this video, we are going to use colored-head pins. Next, is our tape measure, scissors, and a wood ruler. The first thing we want to do is roll up the pant leg, and then we are going to pin it in place. We are going to get it up to a height that looks good, and we will put our first pin in like so. We move around to the back, again rolling it up, and putting our pin in place. We have all our pins in place, so now we are just going to pull the excess material out.
