How to Use an Open Hi Hat Pattern as a Fill or as Part of a Funk Groove
This video shows how to use a funky hi hat pattern either as part of a funk groove, or as a fill. Remember to try and create a crisp sound when you are opening your hi hat. Play the bass drum at the same time as you open the hi hat, giving the fill/groove a little more kick. Practice this pattern slowly until you are comfortable, then build up the speed.
