This video shows how to use the paradiddle in a rock groove. Steve Gadd often uses this in his playing, so check out some of his stuff. Steve Gadd is known as the master for using the paradiddle, and paradiddle permutations in his playing. Remember to play paradiddle part of the pattern (except for the backbeat) as ghost notes.
