This video shows how to play a calypso pattern. The calypso pattern is a very interesting pattern. Listen to artists such as Lord Kitchener, and Mighty Sparrow to really understand how this groove is supposed to sound. In the groove that I played, i used both the open and closed hi hat method. Experiment with this pattern on your own.
