    Thanks for taking the time to demonstrate the cascara, however I have to point out a few things for anybody who is watching this and trying to understand this rhythm better.
    Firstly, in terms of what you can play it on, yes it generally is played on a drum shell, but cascars are quite often played on cymbals (and you said "not a cymbal") and cowbells.
    Secondly, there are a couple of cascaras that are played most often in latin music, it would be good to demonstrate both, since they are often interspersed in songs.
    And lastly, you didn't talk about the cascara in relation to the clave (which then leads us to understand how better to integrate the cascara with the music). Obviously what you've done here is a 3 2 clave cascara, but the rhythm starts in a different place when playing over a 2 3. The way the cascara relates to the clave is of extreme importance, since usually more than 1 instrument will be accenting in a similar way (such as brass) & they all need to play the same rhythm.
