Mental Illness Awareness Week 2010: 'A Mother's Journey' Art Exhibit
'A Mother's Journey': Artist Maxine Seelenbinder-Apke Shares Her Experiences
The Opening Reception was held October 7th, 5:00 - 8:00 p.m. at The Clifton Cultural Arts Center (CCAC) in Cincinnati, Ohio. Her installation as described by the CCAC website "takes us through a decade of loneliness, fear, and faith as she comes to terms with her son's journey with paranoid schizophrenia, her depression, and our society's views of mental illness." The exhibit also allows others to share their experiences with Mental Illness with the piece called 'The Big Book'.
