Post a CommentThank you. As a rare soldier who opposed the war in Iraq from the start I understand your frustration. Those sort of brutalities have existed since man has used war to settle disputes. In fact the reason for the Geneva convention was to prevent such atrocities however you have to have everyone willing to play by the rules. I will offer you this though the military is nothing more than a mini picture a microcosm if you will of the greater society. I love Jonathan Kozol and all he has done for the plight of inner city children. Yet, i still can't forget other white men he where willing to say blow up 4 little girls sitting in Sunday school. My point is what is out here is also in the military good and bad. We don't recruit from some noble fantasy society we recruit from America. Thanks for you comments. I wish I could put all my video work here, but most of my episodes of My 2 Cents are twp large fr AC's guidelines. Feel free to check them out at: http://www.youtube.com/lar
That is beautiful and yet I can not get pictures out of my head of naked Iraqi men as a human pyramid, other brutalities, torture of human beings and gloating smiles as hunters with a prized deer. I don't know if all wars were like that. I thank you for being willing to kill or be killed on behalf of myself and other citizens. I did not realize only 5% were willing to take that risk.
