The NASDAQ OMX (NDAQ) and IntercontinentalExchange (ICE) announced a bid for NYSE Euronext (NYX) that trumps Deutsche Boerses offer. The companies offered $42.50 per share in cash and stock, for a total of about $11.3 billion, a 19% premium over Deutsche Boerses bid.
