Office Depot Shares Dip on Earnings Restatement News
Office Depot (ODP) shares are falling today on the news that the company will be restating its earnings for the fiscal year ended December 25, and the quarters ended June 26, 2010 and September 25, 2010. The office supply retailer said the Internal Revenue Service has denied its claim to carry back certain tax losses to prior tax years under economic stimulus-based tax legislation enacted in 2009, resulting in the need for restatement.
