On the call side, Comcast calls are very active today at 22 times the average amount. Charles Schwab calls are at over 10 times the average volume as investors are bullish on the company on their pending acquisition of OptionsXpress. Avalon Metals calls are trading at over 8 times their normal volume after several investors bet bullishly on the company. Shares of the company also hit a 52-week high today. Linear Technology calls are not far behind at just under 8 times the normal amount. Finally, IntercontinentalExchange calls are also close to 8 times their average amount after news that the company placed a rival bid for NYSE Euronext with the NASDAQ OMX Group.Taking a look at the put side of the ledger, H&R Block puts are very active today at 21 times the average volume. Alcatel-Lucent puts are at just over 9 times their normal volume after several investors bet bearishly on the company. D.R Horton puts are at 7.6 times the average amount today as investors are bearish on the sector
