Have any of the commenters read the side of the carton??? Uses no GM beans. I'm only guessing that means that they are not Monsanto beans.
I think the health concerns with soy milk are dubious. I've heard too much about the studies being funded by the dairy industry.
Hey, did you hear??? Cancer is inherent in white mice!!!

    mmmmmmmmm Monsanto beans

Patricia, I recently watched Food Inc also! It concerns me as well whether or not the soy beans used are organic! If they are Monsanto beans, then what's the point of choosing the organic alternative? I am just as confused. :S

Ahem, the Chinese and Japanese have been drinking soy milk for centuries with only positive health effects. Willfully anti-soy "research" is often funded by the dairy industry, which stands to lose many consumers when they realize the health benefits of soy and the disease risk of milk with its bleached but inevitably present chemicals, bovine diseases, blood, pus, bovine drugs, and excessive-for-humans overloads of protein and calcium.

I really enjoy the flavor of Kirkland Organic Vanilla Soymilk, but I must admit after watching the movie Food, Inc recently, I'm very concerned about whether or not these beans are Monsanto beans. As of 2008 90% of the soybeans grown in the US were Monsanto's genetically engineered soybeans that resist application of roundup (the weed killer). The USDA has not approved labeling genetically engineered food because there is no proof that it's harmful and they don't want to worry people. I'm confused about what the USDA Organic label really means.

Most mainstream commercial brands of soymilk may have unintended consequences - may depress thyroid function, contain antinutrients which decrease absorption of key minerals that aid our body's immune function. Better read history of soy before buying and consuming mainstream soy milk.Your health is worth looking up the information.

If it says organic, it doesn't have Genetically Modified seeds. If it doesn't say organic, you can almost COUNT on it having Monsanto seeds... 90% of soybeans in the US are

soy milk's quality in costco is reduced now,it tastes like cold water with a little bit sweet, but does it make me fat(i'm on diet, and i wanna eat it with corn flakes, anyone can help plz??!!)

I agree with this review. I also find Kirkland to have a better taste, however, I wish it came in the "light" variety like some of the other brands do.

Added Note: Soy Milk has not been proven to increase the risk of any cancer. There are numerous "studies" that contradict each other on the benefits vs dangers of soy. Anyone telling you that soy is dangerous, or cures anything, should be asked for their source of that information. Not all sources are credible.

My holistic Dr. says Soy is not to be consumed by humans. It increases breast and prostate cancer risk.
