This traditional dance, representing the flight of small shore birds, is said to have been originated by the Makah carver and medicine man Young Doctor. It was one of many dances performed at Makah Days 2009, in Neah Bay, on the far northwestern tip of the Olympic Peninsula, Saturday, August 29. The young people's dances are open to the public for photographs; the same dances in the evening by adults are not.
