Videos Paint Haunting Picture of John Patrick Bedell, Who Went on Shooting at the Pentagon

The man who Thursday was shot by security officers and later died after he attempted to go on a shooting at the Pentagon in Washington, D.C., apparently ranted repeatedly on the Internet against the government. Two officers were wounded during the shooting at the Pentagon by the man who, according to this CNN video, claimed the "powerful masters of our existing government" use anything from bribery to murder to control everything from the school system to the monetary system.

Police identified the man who perpetrated the shooting at the Pentagon as John Patrick Bedell, 36, who died after being admitted to a hospital in critical condition. According to this Associated Press video, Bedell acted "very cool" when he entered the Pentagon before opening fire and grazing the officers.

A national security analyst for CBS News described in this video the security in place ahead of the shooting at the Pentagon as a success, saying the man only got to a pre-screening area of the U.S. military headquarters and was stopped immediately by officers.
