Vidoop: Free Password Management Made Easy

Password Management

These days it is getting easier for hackers to discover your passwords. Your options are limited. Change your passwords often, which can lead to problems if you forget what password you are using, or make your password so complicated that you won't have to worry about a hacker getting in. Of course it it's too complicated you might not be able to get in either. Vidoop password management offers an easier solution.

Visual Imagery

Vidoop uses visual cues to secure your personal information. The human brain tends to remember images much easier than text. When you open an account with Vidoop, you select images to be used to log you into your account. For example you might choose an image of a car, then a dog, and finally a flower.

Every time you log in you will look for images that relate to your categories. Each time you log in, you will find your images in a field of 12. This is called the Image Shield. The images will not be the same, but they will fit your category. The images move around on the screen as well. Each image will have a corresponding letter. You simply plug the letter in, and you are logged in and ready to go.

Using Vidoop

Then you can use a plug in program that will allow you to use the Vidoop service to remember passwords that you are prompted to recall. You have the option to say yes or no when prompted to have Vidoop add a password to its interface. If you add a password into Vidoop, it is in the Vidoop locker, and when you return to the site it will automatically fill in your user name and password.

Benefits

It is easy to customize the experience with Vidoop. Once you have logged in you can edit your trusted sites, you can change the images you use to log in, you can add and delete sites and passwords from the interface. You can also set up alerts to be sent to your email address, or even get text alerts on your cell phone. You control everything.

Vidoop works with several different browsers. Internet Explorer, Mozilla Firefox, Google Chrome, Opera, and Safari are all supported.

Additional Information

Vidoop also offers verification services in vidoopCaptcha. Vidoop has adapted its Image Shield to be used to verify that a human is on your site, not a robot spammer. You can find this on the main Vidoop website

Vidoop may be used on any computer. You can log in anywhere and be able to access Vidoop so you can login to your trusted sites effortlessly. The best part of Vidoop is that it's free.

For me, I picked images that I could easily remember. One problem I have with Vidoop is that when Firefox upgraded, Vidoop's plugin no longer works with it.
