Viewpoints.Com: Write Reviews on Products You Use Everyday

My Personal Experience with the Site

Vanessa Bartlemus
Have you heard of Viewpoints.com? It's a review site where you can post reviews of just about anything, from products to websites to colleges. I joined Viewpoints about 7 months ago when MyPoints.com was offering 500 points to post 10 reviews on Viewpoints. I initially planned to sign up, get my 500 MyPoints points, and be done with it. However, I'm hooked now! Here's why.

Viewpoints has an awesome status system where you earn badges based on how many points you have. You earn points by posting reviews, getting helpful votes, and a few other stuff. Right now, with 10,000+ points, I've achieved Writer status. Not bad for just having joined a few months ago! It's fun to collect points and watch your status go up. But that's not the best part!

The best part is receiving products to test! In my few months as a member I have been selected to receive the new Norton 360 Antivirus software and a Conair fabric steamer (the steamer delivered right to my door at no charge.) All I had to do was post a review on the products. I'm not sure what criteria are used to select product testers. The website does say to post lots of reviews to have a better chance of being picked. I'm sure they also look at what types of things you've reviewed, as well as your profile.

There is also a weekly "Monday Funday" giveaway. The current giveaway is Purex Complete 3-in-1 Laundry sheets. Last week's (which I'm still waiting to find out if I won!) was a free ReUsies snack bag. Every week about 20 or 25 users (sometimes more) are chosen to receive that week's product.

Finally, another perk is that there are quite a few promotions where you write 10 qualifying reviews (they usually specify the high-need categories) and get something. That something can be a product or a gift card. The current promotion is to write 10 reviews and get a $10 igift card of your choice.
