The Viewsonic VG730M, priced at around $200 is a budget priced graphics monitor. A step up from the value series monitors this monitor is designed for graphic use and with it's 8ms response time it is also fast enough to handle watching videos. If you have ever had the opportunity to see a viewsonic LCD monitor, the color and display are stunning and comparable to much more expensive brands. The Viewsonic VG730M is no exception. All the reviews for this Viewsonic VG730M review are happy to very impressed with the quality of this 17 inch LCD monitor, the price is low for a monitor of this quality, it comes with a snap on swivel base and besides having a standard VGA video connector, it also has a DVI connector but the DVI cable is not included. If you have a DVI connector on your video card and you want to make the most of your LCD Monitor, you should use that as preferential to the VGA connector.Cons: there are only a few things to consider on this 17 inch lcd monitor, first is the speakers. DO NOT buy an LCD monitor because it has speakers and expect them to sound like a home theater system. If you get small laptop quality sound from any LCD monitor, consider yourself lucky. LCD monitors do not have a resonance chamber and the speakers will be small so do not buy an LCD monitor then complain about the speakers. Out of the reviews I did find, there were two with a dead or stuck pixel which is not uncommon for an LCD monitor however they have improved greatly. Both statements on the stuck pixel went on to say, they are not really noticeable. Specs:
