Vina Morales and Her New Baby

Filipina singer Vina Morales will be temporarily leaving show business as she gives birth to her eldest daughter whom she named Ceana at the Cardinal Santos Memorial Medical Center.

Up until now, it is not known, or at least to the public, who the father of Vina's child is. But of course, there is a father, naturally. It is rumored that the father of Vina's lovechild is actually married, that is why she could not reveal his identity to the public.

Vina has gone a long way from being a choir member in Cebu where her singing prowess was discovered. Her career in showbusiness is stable and grounded. But this former church darling has turned into a vamp. She has had a string of failed relationships and now she got pregnant. It was said that she intended to really have this baby because of her advancing age. I just think that show businesses has brought out the worst in many nice young girls, many of whom used to say that they have strict parents or are devout Christians.

Anyway, it is not my business to judge her. I just wonder though, what surname will the baby carry? Will she carry the name "Magdayao"--Vina's real surname? If she will opt to have the baby (whom she named Ceana) carry the father's surname, then we will know who the culprit ...este the father...is right? Well, we will just wait and see. Nothing is really secret in show business. An actor's life is a public one.

In another light, Vina was in labor when she was interviewed by SNN. Oh my! I guess it is different when you are in showbusiness. I was a mess in the labor room and I could not imagine smiling for the camera while I was periodically violated and in so much pain. But I guess that is one of the quirks of being in show business.

Well, nevertheless, congratulations Vina Morales on your new baby! Enjoy baby Ceana while you can, while the rigors of show business have not yet overtaken motherhood.
