Sunday I attended St. John's Italian Festival in my city Olean, NY. A wonderful day of music, Italian foods and fun. I even had my picture taken with actor Vincent Pastore, he played the character of "Big Pussy Salvatore Bompensiero" in the first three seasons of " The Sopranos." Vincent Pastore was at the festival to help promote the movie " Little Chicago " the story of mobster, Al Ritchie a small-time bootlegger and famous gangster from Olean, during the Prohibition era. Pastore will portray legendary "Al Capone."

Carl Veno a writer and former resident of Olean, wrote the movie about organized crime in Western New York, during Prohibition era. He now plans on producing it in this area. He changed the names of the actual characters. Veno plans on filming the movie in Olean, Niagara Falls, Gowanda NY and Bradford PA. The film will show how prohibition affected small cities like Olean.

Actor John Fiore, was also at the St. John's Italian Festival. Fiore will have a role in the movie " Little Chicago. " Fiore played the character " Gigi Cestone " on "The Sopranos" show. Fiore is going to star in in the television series "The Benvenuti Family"

Negotiations are underway to include more actors to be in the film. According to " The Times Herald " newspaper, some possibilities include Marissa Tome and Armen Garo. They are hoping to start production in October.

So overall it was an exciting day seeing these actors at St. John's Italian Festival in Olean!
