Vintage Clothing Stores in the Triangle
Neighborhood: Triangle
Chapel Hill, Raleigh, NC 27516
United States of America
Vintage clothing stores in the Triangle are few and far between, but for the careful searcher, there are some gems. The hands-down favorite vintage clothing store in the Triangle is in Chapel Hill. Time After Time was Voted Indy Week's Best of the Triangle 2006, this store is conveniently located on Franklin Street. Parking, like everywhere in Chapel Hill, can be a bit of a pain, but this vintage clothing store makes struggling to find parking well worth it. Jam packed with goodies, Time After Time has something for everyone. The small and crowded environment should be overlooked, as patrons of this vintage clothing store in Chapel Hill will find the quality of clothes fantastic and the variety astounding.

Another vintage clothing store in Chapel Hill is Ragtime. Selling clothing before the 1980s, this vintage clothing store is second in a "chain" of stores that started in Asheville, NC. Although their website (http://ragtimevintage.com/contactus.aspx) leaves much to be desired, and the prices can be a bit steeper than other locales, this vintage clothing store off of Franklin Street is a must for the connoisseur. The owner has also been seen playing on the local music scene, possibly aiding in the double entendre of the name of this vintage clothing store.

If you'd like to travel a little bit down the road, vintage clothing stores in the Triangle can also be found in Pittsboro. Beggars and Choosers Antiques, runner up for the same Indy Week Best of the Triangle 2006 that Time After Time won, is another local favorite.

Vintage clothing stores in the Triangle may be tricky to find, but none so tricky as Old Habits Vintage Boutique. This store resides on Hillsborough St, above Curious Goods (which hosts quite a bit of vintage clothing itself). Crowded and sequestered, this may well be the best vintage clothing store in Raleigh, with quite a number of finds from estate sales. In addition to fairly reasonable pricing on clothing, Old Habits Vintage Boutique can also offer estate goods, including small furniture pieces.

Vintage clothing stores in the Triangle must travel in sets, for it's around the corner from Old Habits Vintage Boutique that Creative Consignment can be found. Just minutes away on Morgan Street off of Hillsborough, this vintage clothing store shares the runner up title for 2006 with its neighbor. Not for the devout, though...this vintage clothing store also offers more modern ware, though pricing can be a bit more reasonable.
